CELEBRATIONS

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 16; the sixteenth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.
It's been late today. As the lamp posts dim sheepishly across the star lit sky Piklu strode off his bicycle across the dusty roads to home. The day has been a hectic one. On reaching home he step off his cycle. It's a long roads back from tuition. He ring the door bell and paused to look for the old man. Just like everyday there he is, a man on his sixties probably, wrinkled skin and stammer as he speak. He coughs then and now and pauses longer between the talks more but Piklu wonder whether he has seen the old man to have a chit chat with someone anytime. Little does he know about the old man, he has met his two sons who are highly qualified engineers, they all live under the same old roof with their own families but still he has hardly seen anyone of them with this old man anytime.

Everyone is talking about it, the new format of MTV Roadies. The concept of the show is to reflect on the contestants the seven basic emotions and the outcomes at different situations. As Piklu surf across the channels a thought grazed across his mind Has he seen any? The old man on his verandah on his lonely night and day, he has hardly any of them. On the jolly times, when everyone in that house is busy in merry making he is singled out still resting on the verandah , even when the loud noises, screams engulf the locality as sirens wailing from that house still he does not show remorse, he does not feel sad or disgusted. He just look through the rusted grills from verandah in the moon lit sky questioning the sky itself. The local people have not  interfered. Because we are social. We are taught since childhood and as we grow we learn by heart to not interfere in other matters whatever it may be. A lonely old man with his lonely old sky he rests in his 3 X 2 sq ft verandah as the days pass by.

Today is Diwali. The day when our good old Rama returned home with Sita, the day marked as a new beginning of light and hope. Just as the evening drove past six, Piklu speed past the lanes to his friend's house in a nearby locality with all his crackers and fireworks. No books to gaze,no routine to bind to , this day is just like a dream day to him. The white fumes, the sound of crackers and the candles lit across the apartments everything has its due appeal for that day. His whole afternoon is sorted out with crackers hurling at his saitan neighbors, they have to start early else some of them will be spared. They will be paid in every possible means of fireworks and chocolate bombs for ruining their fun and mischief all around the year.

It's past 10 o' clock. Although the sound of the crackers exploding goes incessantly yet Piklu with his heart contempt with joy of savaging the neighbor houses strode past to his home. But as he come close he seem to be a little arised today. Something is unusual today. Something odd.Why so many people are crowding in his neighbor house? He speed through the lanes and as he struggled his way across the mob he peeped in the ongoing scene. The old man lies there, calm and quiet just like any other day but with his eyes closed. The  time may have wrinkled and deformed his mouth but the tranquility that exists today can not be explained just in words.  Nobody is crying, just that everybody is deep silenced within their inner self.

Piklu moved aside from the crowd and went to the rooftop. The whole scene is very vivid from there. "The good old fella is no more..."  as he repeat these words on and on his mind dwindle on the narrow line between the two worlds of Life and Death. The serenity in the face of the dead man ....is it the happiness for forsaking his deserted life and setting his voyage across the unknown world of darkness? Today is unusal for him not just as the old man is dead but what he have witnessed none of the people had or will ever get a chance to be. It is the first smile in that face Piklu has witnessed in ages. It's the smile for the end of an evil life, and the commencement of new hope, a new afterlife. "Oh Yes!!! It's not late. The Celebrations May Begin......."

India- Beyond the School Corridors

Kids running with school bags with some Mr X / Y/ Z celeb offering his 100 watts colgate smile to cameras emphasizing the importance of education of young India with the catchy line of some nutthead who invented the line "Padhega India to Badhega India".

I wonder how does people every year silently digest the drama about Indian Education. I remember my good old school days when every1 of us is tired of mugging the essay for about a thousand of times " The Importance of Education" as it is the favorite hot cake essay of literature question papers. Ur nibs will be tired, the sharpeners will get choked with pencil dusts..still the salient points of the topic never extinguishes nor does the teacher's unending enthusiasm to draw circles in some points even adding few more points. The point is from the giant manifestos to slogans and commercials the government has tried and exhausted every possible communication medium to help people to realize the true needs for education. So the only thing left is now question papers. So u can say that is the main reason for being the essay so hotcake in the exam hall.

But wait and think !!! Don't we know already the need for education? For who ever you may be literacy at certain level is required. So the government has come up with various low budgets and govt aided institutions actually working towards the cause. But dat is not what I am concerned. Its beyond the school. It's the situation where the money matter comes into play. Our honorable Human Resource Minister has made up a very interesting phenomenal comment in this regard. He stated that the from all the number of children going to school only a few of them actually make up for the higher studies. A true observation indeed. So he proposed to come up with more number of educational institutions to improve the current scenario.

The mockery of Indian politics is statements are made even before they are realized. Our concerned minister is so deeply concerned about Indian education that eventually he jumps into the same pit. Long are the days gone of the lethargic concept "Two birds in one stone ". Ur thoughts and actions can't part ways. They have to follow hand in hand. Just giving a nod to the privatization of educational institutions with ur proposed idea just don't fit in. Let face it. Higher studies need money. And after u r highly educated the first thing u need is a job. May be with the help of  "my chance to get lucky" quota certificate anyone gets admission in a good college but what after that? Who will bear the expenses? With more and more number of institutions who will be liable to maintain the correct educational standard in them. Without proper education how can any student face the competitive world? And what if u don't get ur chance? What if after passing ur grad school only thing left with u is ur simple printed grad dergree, certificates and marksheets.

Vision should b clear.Students intending for higher studies as well as education institutions are also responsible to prepare their students in a market oriented way,  A farmer's son can go back to his own long prodigy of farming back after class X...but he can't and he will not after being graduate. He will search for a job. So where's the job?

Let me digress a bit. After 3/4 yrs in the grad school let us see about the job prospective s in our country. If you a good student from a high collared institution you do have your concrete chances to be under the secured roof of a good organization. Other ones can just mug up all the competitive exam books for participating in the cat and mice race for limited seat government examinations. Other than you are just left with my dear BPO 's. Let me dissect the normal working class into Core or IT works. So from the core departments the recruitment is sheepishly low all round the year. And to IT lovers i would just like to share a candid point as i am also a same noob in the pros field.  If you just give a damn shit of all the recession thing...about the number of people sacking going on all the year round..you may consider one important fact.....to the concept of Cloud Computing. The concept is still in its budding stage but the main logical funda behind it is simply to reduce the work force. To even more maximize their present resources in order to get a low cost.  Now the present scenario presents us a important statistics out of all IT aspirants graduating every year only 25% of them are actually placed. I may not want to blow away the buds of the sweet dreams of parents for getting his son a IT professional but the implementation of cloud computing will be a harsh blow on the ever recruiting nature of IT market.

So more number of institutions..no jobs..only viable option to pursue higher studies as per ur pocket affords up to a limit . So I offer my exclusive readers a more disgusting catchy line to be a reply for the seemingly inspiring line " Padhega India to Badhega India" . Just turn around with your grace....just bend a little ...spread ur left hand in a begging style [just like Amitabh saying "Haaih"] and reply
"Paise kya per pe ughte hai." .

The Lost Kids

" I keep walking on ..through the wicked roads and starry sky...lost within myself I move on an on. Yes I am lost. I am lost in the roads,i am puzzled by my thoughts, and i will soon give up when the beast of night will come upon. I don't know the lanes...they are tricky enough ..twirling and twisting just when you think it is simply normal. I can recall the time when you left me...just how you convinced me but i could not see behind it. My tears have dried now...they have yielded deep beneath the devilish hunger for foods within me. But now I have learnt a lot. I know how to steal money. I know how to beg properly. And you know I am also not alone any more. Because I have met them. My friends. They are just like me. We speed across every  traffic signals in day and night. There are so many different cars and buildings. You remember how i used to get scared of unknown people earlier but now i meet thousands of faces every now and then. I sleep in the footpath near where you left me.May be someday I will meet u, and then I can ask you why did u depart me and my sister in the platform that day? "

This words are not mine but of a lost kid...Have he told me this? No he didn't. He is too young to have any feelings right now. But down the line after some years he will definitely feel so. The departed kids in Sonarpur Local compartment in one sunny day and their tears provoked me to pen down this. I will definitely look forward to hear about their whereabouts in future because the tears of their innocence is just the painful implementation of great Darwin's law of "Survival of the Fittest". I would bow to that someone who can help them. So wait.... let me give you the details of them so you can identify them. A girl and a boy(her brother) ragged dresses, the little brother crying feverishly while the girl 2/3 older than boy is trying in vein to control her every drops of tears. She is also trembling in fear but she can't give up for the sake of her brother. Every passer by is asking her about their parents, where she live. She can tell where she live but the other people could not locate it. She will tell you about her mother, the one who has left them in the train compartment assuring them that she was just going to fetch water. But she didn't return and the train left. Now you will be thinking whether it is intentional or the train simply left before her mother could arrive. I don't know the answer. Neither they did.

You might be wondering what these specifications will help you to find those two lost kids? Actually it will not. Nothing can. Because there are not just 2 of them . There are thousands of them, deprived of their innocence, childhood and overall LIFE. So even if you can bring happiness in the life of any of them u are actually helping those two lost kids whom I have met in just a sunny day of my life.

The Masala in Indian IssStyle ;-)

Entara Rascala Mind It!!!!!!!!!

I am sure my opening could not get better cliche line than this. The big mustached Rajni threatening the "Mr. Black" villains(sorry for getting on the color but the white kurtas and the crowish color of the south indians is a just a panache in the masala style) The kollywood is very apprehensive of 1 factor : no matter what you see, it must be done in issStyle!!! But don't blame it on them. I truly believe south has got its true roots of Indian culture unless who could have thought to do actions wearing lungis and shawl draping around shoulder.

But I will be abusive if I only mention you the immense resource of masalas in the land of idlis and sambars. The Bollywood and never mind our own Tollywood has shown a great potential in this field also. I will mention my one fav line from bolly world : "Ek bar maine jo commitment kar di ,,, to main khud ki v nahi sunta". No prize for guessing from which film is it. Yes!!!! It is from the ever successful film "WANTED" and from our very own charismatic SALMAN KHAN!!!! In the land of Tagore how could any1 forget Mithunda and his oscar winning character "Minister Fatakesto ". Actually the lines "marbo ekhne las porbe sosane" are so popular at one point of time even i used to fear to detach my ears from the safe musical comfort of my mp3 player.

If you think i distaste masala films that's surely untrue. I can bet if you watch a dozen art films regularly you will also get tired of all the intelligent supplements in those cinemas. As per science our brain has a lot unproductive region compared to that of productive part. So we need some brainless cinemas to entertain our mind also. I also recall even during post release of OSO , SRK has advised his fans "keep ur brains at home " before watching this. See, even the intelligent actors are aware of the brain storming scripts and performances they have delivered. So if you watch any hero/heroine to say b4 release "I AM A DIRECTOR'S ACTOR" comprehend it as : " THIS FILM IS TRASH. SO PLZ DON'T BLAME IT ON ME".

The candid part is nobody is blaming. That's why Rajnikanth is a superstar. Wanted,Ghajni,Oso are benchmarks of Indian cinema and Dabanng has stormed away the box office records of 3 Idiots. Long live the muscular hero who fights pow(10,100000...) villains.........long live the sweet sexy heroine who dances in the rain, sings a romantic song and fell in love with the hero in 1st glance..and long live the heroine's dad who is the mastermind of all the nuisance. Bow to THE DIRECTOR and plzz don't forget to give "seetis" on some paisa vasool dialogues. And if you get acidity in digesting those masala cinemas then pick up some not so known movies like Shaurya, Bumm Bumm Bole...etc etc.

The Heroic Escape

If you consider yourself as someone who have endlessly mugged up many criminal/thriller stories,if you are the 1 who gets excited whenever the journey starts from Privet Drive, trembles by counting the every odds when You Know Who Must Not Be Named will show up or praises Holmes every time he demystifies a case, i assure you this "real-life" inspired event has its every moment what it takes to be a mind gripping fast action thriller.

It's night time. The uncanny thing about this time may well be felt through it's uncanny silence engulfing within a truth, something unusual thing is going to happen tonight. Something fateful.
They are armed, focussed and sharpened their determination within. They are to kill. To kill someone whose lives are too insignificant enough to consider them but the "to be victims" have left them no option rather than to kill them. The criminal's prolonged nuisance, unpleasant behavior has stretched all their limits within. So they are set to get their hands bloody this time.Once and for all.

They are 4 men in this fateful night in search for the criminal. They don't know about the lethal weapons which the enemy might posses, they don't know the exact number of criminals yet they are noble enough to risk their life to save humanity. The criminals with their lightening speed and undiscovered places of hideouts have managed to survive till this date but no more. The four heroes today have cornered them. They are convinced of their every possible chances of killing them this time,to make them to pay for what they have robbed from this 4 men.

Now it's time i must introduce you to the four real life inspired heroes of that night. U can call them A,B,C,D just for now because it's mandatory in thriller books to conceal the real life based heroes identity. Mr. A is a tall guy, thin one bare chested. With the killer look in his eyes Mr. A has got his fast moves to corner out any enemies. Although i must warn you he is a more hi profiled for this type of captures because he is already a top level capturist on mobiles/internet chats etc. Mr. B is quite serious looking and a fully devoted person to this art of capturing.U may get fooled by the fragile body of Mr. B but his cunning nature and the smokes he produce is enough to kill the enemy. He is of the executive order, the man behind the scenes laying out all the plans for the big hunt today. As for Mr. C used to have a dark profile a long time ago so he can anticipate out all the moves of our enemy quickly. Behind his child like and innocent appearance of Mr. C there exists a strong determined native soul. Mr. D is a well built man,he is a ardent executioner of the plan and a full time medic of this team. He is just the soul of the team. Well as we proceed you will understand the immensely important character Mr. D.

The people are positioned. All the barricades are laid out. Each and every possible resource is utilized to forbid the escape of the enemy. The enemy is frightened. It understands there is no solution other than a face-off. Even now the time is deep silenced. The enemy gets out from the hideout. Mr. A applied a sharp blow of his weapon but Oh no!!! the enemy with its speed has gauged the attack well before and overtook it promptly enough leaving behind Mr. A screaming for help. Now Mr. B is on our enemy. He corners the enemy once again behind a small barricade. Now Mr. D is lifting up the barricade and Mr. C will come into the scene to murder the guilty.***#@!#$``"~~~@!@!!*******

Now the four people lie in the scene all tired and exhausted. They are the tragic heroes of today. The cunning enemy with its agility has dodged out Mr C and has escaped. But the defeat does not make them weak because as we speak they are again planning for their next mission to destroy the escapist.

Well, every thriller has it's last page. And here it is. The enemy concerned in this real life inspired article is none other than a dreadful "MOUSE" in our mess. It has chopped a lot of pages, suitcase covers and still to be reported huge number of things. And our real men of Honor are-------
Mr.A       Souvik aka Dino
Mr.B             Nilu aka guju
Mr.C         Sou aka baccha
Mr.D        Satya aka myself
Weapons used: Fat books like Schildt,Language Processor,Matrixes
Barricade: My VIP suitcase,Souvik's Carom Board

THANKS GIVING
We would like to thank all the writers and scholars who have written loaded books without which we would be left vulnerable towards our enemy Thanks to my parents for providing me the VIP suitcase and thanks to dino for the strong wooden carom board.

CONFESSION
No animal is hurt during the process although clearly intended to do so.

STATUTORY WARNING
Don't try this at home without a group of mad people and a poor rat acting as the prey.

Since 17th...

It's a date. It has been always a date for you. But for me it's something else....some date from when the days were never same as before. You can tag it a change or adjustment,revive...let it be anything..let the synonyms rest under the great pages of dictionary..but you can't deny its presence. But as for change if you are concerned on the extent of how you changed since your last break-up or since the last kiss you are most welcome to navigate away from this web page as soon as possible. What i am concerned is about the biggest truth of life...that's death.

If you are having a look on this article right now, then i assume u r fine,u have survived from malaria, dengi, swine flu, bomb-blasts,cancer/aids maybe and i pray your good health in future also. You are someone who probably have an account on teen o phobic social networking sites, you may be a geek just like me or maybe you r just having a vibrant life out there. But have you considered the fact that there is something that can plunder your most precious possession? That can nullify you,rid your ego..nd anything what you claim to be yours. My funny bone finds it amusing when i see people who have lived their life or have done their work quite neatly but throughout span we intend to take backup of every minute pieces that come across our way. From movies to large voluminous files/money the gradual routine of backups is so eminent and deep rooted within us that we fail to consider one simple truth. "The biggest illusion in life is life itself." and u can't back it up. You will find it frustrating enough to think that someday all those sweet memories, all those crammed book pages u have mastered or anything u are good at will simply be gone. The long years, months, days and every second u have tormented yourself to consummate at a level will all be nullified.

Consider someone.Someone from the every ordinary pale/attractive/bewildered people u come across everyday. Someone who belong to the masses.Someone from a regular crowd. What if this someone comes to know some futile moment that he doesn't belong anymore to the jolly, feel good, vibrant, regular crowd out there. Rather his name is going to be represented henceforth as an medical id. The name for which he is reputed,he has lived on it and being famous for , nowdays it will serve only as demonstration of doctor's pain stricken time forbidden example of hand writing in long prescriptions and computer printed medical bills. He is now feeling restless,he will demand to himself,to the society,to the doctor " WHY ME!! " . Lucky for us we don't have to reply him back, maybe doctors will remind him that some questions are not meant to be answered or some "babas" would advice him to keep calm and concentrate on the mortal nature of human life. You will tag him as the "Unlucky 1" and you may pay your condolence to his family because you are the audience, you know the fate of the play, the fate is already decided but the family is a part of the play, they also knew the fate but it was on their part to attempt in vein. Now is the time for the curtains to drop...so the concerned person will now be too tired to fight up .A chapter ends.

I don't remember the exact date and place and it just happened to be a day after 17th. But the simple line from Geeta written in a poster perplexed me,, better to say enlightened me. This piece for today is not any statement, rather a question that i have kept myself asking since 17th Sept 2006. A lot of film directors have wasted their reels regarding this, some are worthy to mention others are too idiotic to be notable. But the irony lies in the question:What is the exact path? Are we aware about the biggest truth of our LIFE???

News of the "News" !!!!

Cameras, fake ascent, lights, mikes, tickertapes, prime time, bulletin board, interviews.conference ...these are not some mere keywords but some snaps from the most powerful profession in India...the Media.Like one philosopher once sadly lamented that news has been sold not published truly this scenario correlates with the current Indian media.
I still remember the good old days when electronics media doesn't symbolize the today's high T.R.P rated news channels, media celebs, polls and all this but simply Doordarshan. Every evening my father used to tune sharply at 7 o'clock for news at Doordarshan. The selection, choice and presentation of news although is very simple and straightforward still even at that age i can feel the sublime appeal in those news. The focus used to be more on the events rather than creating media celebs.

NDTV 24x7,BBC NEWS,HEADLINES TODAY,CNN IBN,TIMES NOW,NEWSX and the list continues...[sorry if i have missed your favourite news channel],and it's also never too late or important to mention our "unbiased" local news channels. Everyone is ardent to offer you with crispy news which when served you with garam chai and hot pakoda can land you up in ecstasy. You may have skipped any news but i am sure you haven't skipped the names of modern news "gurus" like Barkha Dutt.Even if you watch carefully  some news channels are also enlightening you with much awaited info and "secrets and myths" of your favorite tv serials. I knew this situation is bound to occur since they have had tried and exhausted all the possible permutations and combinations of link ups between bollywood celebs [irony is in fact some channels had even tried to link up Boman Irani and Shabana Aazmi after "Honeymoon Travels"]
